Pandit ji announces the commencement of the Janeu Vidhi ritual. Pari, curious, inquires about its significance. Anupama elucidates that the three threads of the Janeu symbolize three essential life debts: to the gods, ancestors, and teachers.
She emphasizes that wearing the Janeu signifies a commitment to abstain from wrongdoing, ensuring purity in behavior, habits, and thoughts, thus facilitating a journey of spiritual growth with enhanced focus and concentration. Babu ji remarks on the perception of it being antiquated, to which Anupama underscores the importance of preserving family heritage and values.
Pandit ji then calls upon Ansh and Titu to pledge to uphold righteousness. Vanraj ceremoniously adorns Ansh with the Janeu, while Titu wears his own. Babu ji voices concern over Vanraj’s actions, prompting Anupama to realize her duty to prevent Vanraj’s misstep and expose Toshu’s deceit.
Meanwhile, Anuj consoles Shruti, urging her not to fret over trivial matters during the upcoming wedding. Despite her worries, Shruti finds solace in Aadhya’s embrace and assurance. Anuj reminds Shruti to adhere to her medication regimen, citing Anupama’s thoughtful reminders scattered around. As they bid farewell, Aadhya encourages Shruti to maintain communication and assures her of a timely arrival for the marriage ceremony.
Anupama informs Babu ji of her departure plans, met with resistance from the children. Despite their protests, Babu ji questions her solitary stay at Bhavesh’s house. Baa advocates for her departure, citing limited space. Vanraj, expressing concern, questions her intention to return, to which Anupama resolves to seek justice for herself, refusing to bear the burden of another’s wrongdoing.
Babu ji marvels at her resilience, encouraging her departure. Titu offers to escort her, supported by Vanraj’s acknowledgment of his capability. Dimpy’s request to accompany is denied by Vanraj, citing concerns over Anupama’s tarnished reputation.
Anuj speaks with someone and urgently requests information. He is determined to prove Anu’s innocence at any cost. Meanwhile, Anupama returns home to find Devika surprising her. Devika scolds Anupama for not calling first and presents a cake to celebrate Anupama’s recent victory as a superstar chef. Anupama, feeling down, questions her worth. Devika reassures her, saying she will always be a superstar in their eyes, and gives her a bracelet.
Devika then inquires about the situation at the Shah house. Anupama explains that Baa, Vanraj, and Toshu are affected by the heat waves. Barkha interjects, hinting at upcoming relief as she reveals she’s been invited to a wedding by Dimpy and Babuji, which makes Anupama happy.
Devika then asks Anupama to make her some masala tea. Anupama reminisces about how much her Beeji and customers liked it, but expresses sadness over losing those same customers. Devika dismisses the concerns, telling Anupama to ignore them. Anupama worries about something falling into the tea, but Devika reassures her with a hug.
Later, the Shah family is gathered, enjoying Aam ras (mango pulp). Baa comments on the children’s excitement, while Kavya mentions the difficulty of putting them to bed. Toshu and Pakhi praise the Aam ras, and Vanraj agrees. Kinjal, noticing Baa’s satisfaction, reveals that Anupama made it. They finish their bowls, but Toshu accuses Anupama of having no guilt or shame after ruining Yashdeep. Babuji defends Anupama, reminding Toshu of his own wrongdoings. Baa sides with Toshu, but Babuji criticizes her for not treating Anupama as a daughter.
Kinjal supports Anupama, saying that staying in the Shah house would have ruined her. Vanraj criticizes Anupama’s attitude despite all the humiliation she faced, while Toshu accuses her of not accepting her mistake. Dimpy and Kinjal defend Anupama, stating she has nothing to be ashamed of and will prove her innocence. Kavya adds that Anupama will fight back. Vanraj scoffs at the idea of Anupama going to America, and Baa worries about the neighbors’ gossip.
Vanraj then receives a call, instructing the caller to catch someone. Anupama gets a call from Yashdeep. Devika urges her to answer, and Anupama speaks to Yashdeep’s Beeji. They exchange pleasantries, and Anupama suspects Yashdeep is drinking upon hearing a bottle cap. She urges Beeji to stop him from drinking, promising to return and fix everything. She apologizes for the trouble and ends the call, leaving Yashdeep in tears.
Devika reassures Anupama that she will handle everything and inquires about her outfit for the mehendi ceremony. Anupama hasn’t decided yet, so Devika offers to help. They discuss Titu, a celebrity dancer who loves Dimpy and Ansh and is willing to become a ghar jamai (live-in son-in-law), which Devika notes will be challenging with Vanraj and Baa around.
Anupama receives a call from an unknown number. The caller, a woman, requests to meet Anupama to discuss Tapish and sends a location. Devika suspects it’s not a prank and calls the number, but it’s switched off. Later that night, Vanraj gets a call, retrieves an envelope from the cupboard, and leaves the house. Kavya, noticing this, wakes up and watches him. Anupama, receiving the location, decides with Devika to go, despite suspecting it might be an attempt to cancel the wedding.
