Overwhelmed, Anupama addresses him emotionally as “Babu ji.” Yashdeep consults Beeji about fleeing to Kenya, citing the impossibility of facing people in India and America. However, Beeji, portraying strength, declares they won’t flee like cowards, asserting their resolve. She questions where Anupama will go, to which Yashdeep callously states he has no concern for her.
Toshu defends himself, claiming innocence. Vanraj points out Anupama’s relentless accusation against his son. Anupama argues that Toshu is guilty, citing his involvement in serving the dish. Baa, dismissing Anupama’s claim due to her head injury, explains that waiters serve dishes. Anupama clarifies that she intended to serve the dish to the food critic but was thwarted when he took it forcibly.
Others speculate that a flying cockroach might have landed in her dish. Anupama questions their trust in her cleanliness and hygiene after serving them for 25 years. Toshu admits to the act, stating he only agreed to silence her from falsely accusing him like others. Enraged, Anupama slaps him, demanding he confess.
Toshu challenges her to prove his guilt, threatening a defamation case. Anupama, disheartened, declares she won’t speak to him, forbidding him from her life, even in death. She renounces his right to perform her last rites, considering him dead to her. Vanraj dismisses her actions as overacting.
Anupama turns to Babu ji, urging him to take care of his health. She then approaches Anuj, expressing her continued understanding of him and requesting a ride to Yashdeep’s house.
Meanwhile, Aadhya offers her tiffin to her friends, who refuse, insinuating it might contain a cockroach. They taunt her, suggesting she’s unhygienic like her grandmother. Aadhya, hurt, refrains from insulting the food, despite her feelings. Hearing a friend’s mother planning to complain to the Principal about Aadhya, Kinjal intervenes, defending Aadhya against the accusation of tarnishing India’s reputation.
Yashdeep confides in Beeji, expressing regret over making Anupama his partner, claiming she doesn’t deserve the title. Anupama calmly acknowledges his words, returning the partnership deed. She asserts her dedication and flawless work at Spice and Chutney, vowing to uncover the culprit behind her current predicament. Determined, she declares that Spice and Chutney will thrive, whether she remains or not, and leaves.
Meanwhile, the family discusses Dadi’s possible attendance at the wedding. Despite differing opinions, Vanraj, Baa, and Pakhi align in their belief that Anupama should not attend. Dimpy, however, insists that if her mother doesn’t come, she won’t marry, casting a shadow over the impending ceremony.
Later, Babu ji calls Anupama, noting her apparent frailty. Anupama reassures him, saying she’s merely existing. Overwhelmed with emotion, Babu ji praises her courage. Anupama, standing outside the closed restaurant, remains resolute, promising that Spice and Chutney will reopen. Dimpy and Kavya extend a heartfelt invitation to her wedding, with Dimpy even declaring that she won’t marry unless Anupama attends.
Shruti approaches Anuj, expressing her newfound independence, and he is delighted. She credits him for her progress, but Anuj humbly acknowledges the medical staff, Aadhya, and Anupama. As Shruti notices Anupama approaching, she leans on Anuj, embracing him, and reminisces about their reunited bond. Meanwhile, Anupama, witnessing their closeness, begins to walk away.
Anuj, noticing Anupama’s departure, informs her about the partnership deed she signed over to Yashdeep, a fact he learned from their lawyer’s call. Anupama states her unwillingness to stay where she causes trouble to others. Aadhya, supporting her mother, urges Anupama to leave, fearing their lives have worsened since her return, reminiscent of the troubles faced by Spice and Chutney.
Anupama defends herself, emphasizing her innocence and questioning why Anuj didn’t stand up for himself or clarify their relationship status to their friends. She challenges him to let her handle the situation directly.
Anupama reiterates her stance, refusing to stay where she disrupts others’ lives, including Spice and Chutney or their home. She asks for time to pack her belongings, emphasizing her decision to leave. Aadhya, torn between her mother and father, eventually hugs Anuj as Anupama prepares to depart.
